This is a 1989 Gibson Chet Atkins CE (Classical Electric), dated using the serial number (81729594) to June 21, 1989, made at Gibson's Nashville plant. Natural finish, gold hardware, rosewood fretboard — the standard CE. I have owned this guitar for over 10 years and played it and kept it stored in the case. According to Gibson specs, this is a chambered mahogany body with a solid spruce top.

Frets look good (see pics) and fretboard has light play-wear patina consistent with age, cosmetic only. Finish has no checking or cracking; there are a few small handling marks/dings you'd expect after this time. Please look closely at the pictures to see what I am describing.

Electronics are original and confirmed working — this is the factory piezo pickup and preamp, identifiable by the individual per-string trim pots on the circuit board. Runs on a standard 9V battery.

Comes with the original Gibson hard-shell case, Canadian-made, pink plush lining intact with original "CASE made in CANADA" tag present. The lock does not work.
