These were my go to when building custom guitars, as these early Classic Series Strat's and Tele's were cut and shaped in the USA for quality control, when sent to Mexico for finish and assembly. They do not do this anymore. These bodies do not have the tooling holes that the Mexican bodies have, and it has USA date stamp in the neck pocket.
This 2003 Fender Classic 50s body is from a Special Edition Strat that has factory Custom Shop Texas Specials on a gold aluminum pickguard, a steel block American Vintage bridge and staggered Gotoh tuners.
The body shows staining from sitting inside the Fender tweed case, on the front and back, but shows only minor signs of use and wear. It looks like it spent its life in the case. What is also cool is that Fender did a factory refinish, spraying the Olympic White over what looks like Daphne Blue.
This is a true vintage body at a great price. Don't miss your chance to own it. It comes with the original output cup/jack and strap knobs.
