If you know, you know. This is the pinnacle, the premier, Mic Pre Amplifier designed and created by the master, George Massenburg, of GML! This preamp sounds absolutely stunning and operates flawlessly! Quiet as a mouse and I began using these in studios here in Nashville in the early 90s. I had to have one. or two... I had the 4 channel version as well, but sold it as I really only needed two channels for my private studio. I've had this for years, and it's just an amazing unit. This unit also includes the mod that moves the phantom power switches from the back of the rack panel, to the front face of the rack * O is off, I is In/On. To hear this on vocals, acoustic instruments, drums, guitars, strings, etc is like hearing the source right in front of you in 3D. It is a Secret weapon mic pre for any rack filled with Neve, API, etc.... This unit has slots for adding two more 83 cards if you need them. The power supply operates flawlessly and can power multiple GML units if you need to create a chain of GML processing such as the EQ, Compressor, mic pre etc. Don't miss this one! The unit is in excellent condition and has a few scuffs and scratches on the bottom of the rack (pictured) but the top, front face, and sides are all clean and with only minor screw marks from racking around the rack ear holes as shown in the photos.
