The Bowman Overdrive is a transparent overdrive pedal inspired by the legendary Klon Centaur, handcrafted in the USA by James Bowman (guitarist of the band). Against Me!Designed with NOS germanium diodes, high-end components, and meticulous wiring, it faithfully captures the spirit of the Klon: a very musical clean boost at low gain, then an open, dynamic, and harmonically rich overdrive as the gain increases, without masking the character of the guitar or amp. It features the three classic controls (Gain, Tone, Output) and is distinguished by excellent transparency, ample headroom, and an ability to bring out the best in a tube amp rather than imposing its own coloration. Highly regarded by Klon enthusiasts, it is often considered one of the best handcrafted reproductions available, both for its build quality and sonic fidelity, while remaining significantly more affordable than an original Klon Centaur.
