The Vintech Audio X73i is a single-channel, 1U rack-mount microphone preamp and 3-band equalizer designed to faithfully recreate the classic, highly sought-after Neve 1073 tone. It delivers a Class-A, all-discrete, transformer-balanced signal path for rich harmonic color and up to 70 dB of gain.  Because of its hand-wired components (like Elma and Grayhill rotary switches), it’s built to modern spec without compromising on that thick, punchy vintage sound. 

• Classic Circuitry: Employs the same highly-regarded Class-A microphone preamplifier design found in the standard Vintech X73, utilizing an St. Ives output transformer and a 2N3055 NPN power transistor. 
• Enhanced EQ Section: Offers a 3-band EQ with a wider variety of selectable mid-range frequencies than the original vintage hardware. 
• Versatile I/O: Features rear Neutrik XLR (mic/line) and 1/4″ TRS balanced line outputs, along with a front-panel 1/4″ D.I. instrument input.
• Practical Controls: Includes variable input impedance (300 or 1,200 ohms), +48V phantom power, phase reverse, and an EQ bypass switch.
