The Pro P-90 soapbar single-coil pickups in the Les Paul Special Double Cut are designed with many of the features of the original P-90 pickups created by Seth Lover in the '50s. They're sensitive pickups that respond well to the nuances of your picking. Played cleanly, the sound is rich and sparkling, but dig in, or push the drive, and they growl with a vocal-like quality. The wider, aggressive tone still preserves single-coil articulation, delivering that unmistakable sound beloved by guitarists across an array of genres.
