Up for sale is an absolute unicorn of the boutique amplifier world: the Gurus Amps Brivido 100W Signature Head in its striking factory Ferrari Red shell.

Designed in Italy by master engineer Guglielmo Cicognani, the Brivido (Italian for thrill or shiver) was unveiled as a flagship, ultra-premium multi-channel amplifier. Because Gurus shifted their focus almost entirely to high-end pedals shortly after its introduction, only a handful of these heads were ever produced worldwide—making this an incredibly rare opportunity for collectors and serious tone chasers alike.

The Magic Under the Hood

What makes the Brivido legendary is its unique power section architecture. Inspired by 1960s-era high-voltage jukebox power modules, Cicognani designed the circuit to squeeze well over 100 Watts RMS out of just TWO EL34 power tubes by running them at an ultra-high plate voltage. This delivers double the dynamic headroom, punch, and touch sensitivity of a standard 100-watt head, without the added weight and maintenance of a four-tube power section.

Three Distinct Channels

 Channel 1 (Clean): Pristine, crystal-clear American-style headroom that serves as the ultimate, un-clippable canvas for your pedalboard.

 Channel 2 (Crunch): Classic, woody British-style grit that cleans up beautifully with your guitar’s volume knob.

 Channel 3 (Lead): Searing, modern high-gain saturation with massive compression, fluid sustain, and incredible note articulation.

Someone has added a fan to help keep the power tubes cool. This is fully reversible. Some aluminum was removed to clear the cable when the top cover is attached.
