This Portastudio is in great working condition. It hails from the second generation of 488 machines, which feature high speed 8 track cassette recording, 48v phantom power, XLR jacks and a variety of monitoring options. This unit has been cleaned and thoroughly tested with an ABEX test tape as well as Maxell XLII tape. It records, plays back and erases test tones on all eight channels. Its got an awesome vintage tape vibe that is ready tackle your recording projects!

Capstan Belt and C gear and Monitor Volume pot have been replaced to ensure many more years of reliable recording!

•This Portastudio is in very good condition, this unit appears to have been used sparingly and the case is in good shape with some light scuffs and a previous users name scratched onto the bottom panel.
