Built in early 2000’s by Dennis Stauffer, founder of Phattie Drums. These were high quality, custom made drums. After Stauffer's tragic and sudden passing in 2012, Phattie Drums did not continue with production. Early serial number and badge style points to this being made 2000-2003 in the original Virginia workshop.
This came to me as just a shell (9 ply) and one hoop, couldn't tell you if the hoop was original. All lugs are brand new by Gibraltar, bottom hoop is a cheapy from Amazon but does it’s job well enough for now. Heads and snare wire are brand new, stick marks are from tuning and some light play at home.
