1976 Roland AF-60 Bee Gee fuzz/distortion pedal *Serviced with Video**
This is one of Roland’s early Japanese-made effects pedals, from the same era as the Bee Baa, Funny Cat, Jet Phaser, and other classic Roland/BOSS-style units.
The Bee Gee is a great-sounding vintage fuzz with a raw, gritty character that sits somewhere between fuzz and distortion. It has plenty of output on tap, a simple two-knob layout, and a very usable Tone control that lets you dial in anything from darker, thicker fuzz tones to brighter, cutting lead sounds. It has that unmistakable 1970s Japanese pedal personality—warm, aggressive, slightly rude, and full of character.
This pedal is tested and working properly. It is in great shape for its age and is cleaned, tested and ready to go! The original capacitors will be sent with the unit and I've attached pics of the original pcb at the end. This is a cool and increasingly hard-to-find Roland fuzz from the golden era of Japanese effects. Perfect for collectors, players, or anyone looking for a unique vintage fuzz/distortion that stands apart from the usual suspects..
What was done to it:
- Replaced the few electrolytic capacitors
- Replaced missing rubber feet and screws and aged them to look the part
- Cleaned the pots and jacks with DeOxit
- Sprayed cleaner into the footswitch to try and get some cleaning action on the contacts
- Cleaned the interior and exterior
