Audeze LCD-2 Closed-Back 2019 - Matte Carbon

Closed Back version of Audeze flagship LCD-2 model headphone. Ships in Audeze box and includes the hard shell case in the photos.

Please watch the attached YouTube review of the headphone so you are familiarized with the sound. This headphone is not necessarily going to "sound better," this headphone is very detailed and revealing, making it ideal for mixing and analytical listening. It is also coloured in the mids and low mids, which makes it extremely pleasant to listen to indie and acoustic music. It is somewhere between a mid-grade audiophile/hifi headphone and a mixing headphone.

HOWEVER, if you use the Audeze Reveal+ headphone and virtual studio plugin, this becomes an extremely legitimate mixing tool, eliminating the hi-fi color of the headphone. I have mixed on these many times with great translation.

The only other LCD2 closed back headphones for sale are at alto music and "suncoast audio" for $849 and $889 in unknown condition and without the hard shell case. The price is firm because it is in the case, the price is reasonable, and the earpads are new and costly.

The headphones function perfectly and sound identical to the day I bought them in 2019. However, these have seen very little use due to my preference for speakers and open back headphones.

They certainly do not have 7 years worth of wear. These headphones have approximately 100 hours of play time.

The only issues with the headphone are:

-Extremely small rub-related blemishes on the finish of the back of the cans that even in direct sunlight are barely visible in the photos.
-Extremely small wear marks on the Audeze logo where the headphone connects to the headband, and

- the screw that prevents you from pulling the headphone off the band on right ear is damaged. This does not cause any issues nor does it cause the headphone to lose its position or fall off the headband. It is depicted in the photo and is cosmetic in nature.

Aside from that, this was lightly used in my home studio, did not travel and while I'd personally describe it as very good condition, I have listed the headphone as "good" so that no-one mistakenly thinks they are getting a like-new item, as this has been lightly used and is a few years old.

The leather earpads are brand new from Audeze specifically for the purpose of this sale.
