Hello.
I am selling my prized 1991 Epiphone Casino guitar. These guitars are legendary for many reasons and this beauty was born in 1991 at the Terada facility in Japan. You know the one, where luthiers built AMAZING guitars with workmanship that often exceeded that of their USA brethren.
The guitar is in 100% original condition and is a sight to behold - with 100% authentic patina and aging - no Custom Shop trickery here!
Details:
- Weighs 6lbs 5oz
- In amazing cosmetic condition - see pics - with no scuffs or indents anywhere on the body
- The wood grain on the entire body really is spectacular
- Original frets in great condition with lots of life left
- The Rosewood fretboard is dark and consistent along the entire length
- The mother-of-pearl inlays are nice and bright and the Epiphone name on the headstock is also done in MOP
- There are some small wear areas on the fretboard at the 1st and 2nd frets, but nothing the impacts playability or intonation in any way
- Neck measures 0.80" at the 1st fret at 0.85" at the 12th fret - a very thin neck for sure!
- Spotless neck joint with no cracks and the truss rod works perfectly
- The original P90 pickups provide amazing clarity and sizzle and measure 7.61k and 7.70k in the neck
- All tuners function perfectly and all of the metal parts have a gorgeous patina that can only be earned with time
- Currently set up with fresh Ernie Ball 10-gauge strings
- Includes a brand-new hard case
- The original pick guard was separated from the guitar long ago and is not included
- Guitar will be detuned for shipping to reduce stress on the headstock and it will be packed to withstand a nuclear blast AND the zombie apocalypse
I ship using the Reverb Safe Shipping program which protects against loss/damage in transit. I pack by guitars to withstand the most extreme abuse from the carrier, but it's nice to have that extra level of protection for swift resolution if there is an issue.
Please check my 100% feedback rating. I'm as legit as you will ever find on Reverb, but don't take my word for it. Check my customer reviews that acknowledge my 100% accurate descriptions, solid packaging and speedy shipping.
