This is an exceptionally desirable Wildwood Guitars Exclusive model, pairing the highly regarded American Vintage ‘65 platform with Fender’s coveted Thin Skin specifications, a beautiful Aztec Gold nitrocellulose lacquer finish, and a matching headstock to create one of the most striking Jazzmasters Fender produced during the American Vintage era. These dealer-exclusive Thin Skin models featured modern player-friendly appointments while retaining the unmistakable look, feel, and tone of a vintage mid-’60s Jazzmaster, making them some of the most sought-after production offsets Fender has built in recent years.

The American Vintage ’65 Jazzmaster faithfully recreates the features that made the mid-1960s originals legendary while incorporating several carefully selected modern upgrades. Condition is simply outstanding. This is about as clean as you’ll ever find one and honestly appears virtually unplayed. The original protective plastic is still installed on the pickguard, the frets show absolutely zero wear, and the entire guitar presents beautifully. The only imperfections we can find are a tiny pinhead-sized finish ding near the pickguard along with two very small marks on the upper horn, both of which are pictured. Aside from those extremely minor blemishes, this instrument is remarkably clean and would be equally at home in a collector’s collection or a player’s rotation.

This guitar was just given a professional setup with a fresh set of 10-46 gauge strings, so it plays exceptionally well with a straight neck, low action, and accurate intonation all the way up the fretboard.
