1994 Gibson Les Paul Classic Cherry Sunburst – Signed by Les Paul – Never Played – OHSC

This flame maple beauty is one of the early Gibson Les Paul Classics made in Nashville when Classics were at their best. Built in 1994 (serial #4-4426), this guitar player’s dream features the slim and fast 1960s neck, high-output ceramic pickups, and an absolutely beautiful sunburst flame maple top. But what makes it even more exceptional is Les Paul’s signature that he carefully signed on the back of the headstock after one of his Monday shows at the Iridium. Why did he sign the back of the headstock? Because he said the top was so beautiful he didn’t want to write on it. But more importantly, Les put on a fantastic show with Lou, Nikki, and John, and when I met him after the show (thank you, Bucky), he was the nicest, most gracious guitar God I have ever met. This guitar has been in its case since that night, except to oil the neck, but it’s time that it got played.

Condition: Although this has never been played it shows some minor wear from storage (please see photos)

Very Good

Description

Up for sale is a beautiful 1994 Gibson Les Paul Classic finished in Cherry Sunburst, complete with its original Gibson hardshell case. This guitar is a remarkable collector's piece, featuring a hand-signed autograph by Les Paul on the back of the headstock.

This instrument has never been played and has spent its life in storage. As expected for a guitar of this age, it exhibits minor cosmetic signs of long-term storage, including light surface swirls, slight hardware patina, and other small age-related imperfections. These cosmetic details do not detract from its outstanding overall presentation and originality.

Built during Gibson's highly regarded early-1990s production era, this Les Paul Classic features the slim 1960-style neck profile, carved maple top, solid mahogany body, rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays, Tune-o-Matic bridge, stopbar tailpiece, and Gibson Deluxe tuners.

Features

• 1994 Gibson Les Paul Classic
• Cherry Sunburst finish
• Hand-signed by Les Paul on the back of the headstock
• Original Gibson hardshell case included
• Never played
• Slim 1960 neck profile
• Mahogany body with carved maple top
• Rosewood fingerboard with trapezoid inlays
• Dual Gibson humbucking pickups

Condition

While it has never been played, it is not being represented as mint due to minor cosmetic wear from nearly three decades of storage. The finish remains vibrant, the neck and frets show virtually no playing wear, and the instrument retains an exceptional overall appearance.

The Les Paul signature on the back of the headstock is included as shown in the photos.

Please review all photos carefully, as they are an important part of the description and accurately represent the guitar's cosmetic condition and included accessories.
