1960B Straight Cabinet – 2005

A classic Marshall 1960B straight-front 4x12 cabinet from 2005, loaded with its original Celestion G12T-75 speakers. The 1960B has been a staple of Marshall stacks for decades, delivering the tight low end, focused punch and powerful projection that have made it a favourite for everything from classic hard rock through to modern metal.

This example retains its original quad of Celestion G12T-75 speakers (Model T3760), all 16-ohm units featuring the desirable 1777 cones. These speakers are renowned for their strong bass response, clear upper mids and ability to handle high-gain amplifiers with ease, making them the perfect partner for JCM800s, JVMs, DSLs and many other high-powered heads.

Tone

The G12T-75 is one of Marshall’s most recognisable speakers, offering a powerful, punchy sound with tight bass, smooth highs and excellent power handling. The straight-front design of the 1960B delivers a slightly more focused and direct projection than its angled counterpart, making it a favourite choice for players wanting a solid, authoritative stage sound.

Whether paired with a vintage JMP, a roaring JCM800 or a modern high-gain head, this cabinet delivers the unmistakable sound of a full Marshall stack.

Condition

Overall the cabinet is in good condition for its age. There are a few cosmetic scuffs and snags to the tolex from normal use, along with a small hole in the grille cloth above the Marshall logo, which is shown clearly in the photographs. None of these cosmetic marks affect the functionality or structural integrity of the cabinet.
