I have a gorgeous California Carved Top Kiesel CS6 here. The serial number is 150082, which I believe dates it to 2020. It comes with its industry best G&G hard shell case.
Conditionally this guitar looks gorgeous.
The body top shows a minimal amount of light guitar pick strumming below the two pickups. Any similar superficial swirling will be absolutely minimal anywhere else on the body top. There are no accumulated patterns or any sheen of light playwear. I did not find any singular marks. The finish and the hardware both look exceptionally clean and glossy.
The body sides and edges look excellent across the perimeter. I did not find any bumps, indentations, or chips. Nor did I find any buildup of any playwear. Any superficial swirling will be minimal to nonexistent.
The body back shows very faint signs of use on the plastic tremolo back plate, but virtually nothing on the body itself. There is no buckle rash or worming. I did not find any singular marks, nor any sheen or accumulation of lower intensity soft swirling.
The neck shaft contour looks and feels great with nothing to report there. The stainless steel frets are tall and full and play fantastic. It has a perfectly dialed in setup with a typical low, easy to play 2 mm action. The tremolo sits perfectly level, neither recessed nor floating high. It is a very well dialed in guitar.
There is one area of note to point out adjacent to the D tuner on the face of the headstock. There is a very fine checking line about an inch long. It is absolutely hairline thin and very shallow. This generally occurs when a tuner has been slightly overtightened during installation. The checking is stable and has not spread. Also note that it is not connected to the body finish in any way. It is a very minor cosmetic issue, and I struggled to capture it clearly in photographs because of how fine it is. Please see the last picture for an enlarged close up.
The original electronics are working perfectly. It is coil tap equipped. The hard shell case is in excellent condition.
This one rates anywhere from an 8.9 to a 9.1, placing it right on the threshold between the higher side of very good and the beginning of excellent. I will conservatively grade it as very good due to the minor checking line adjacent to the D tuner. Beyond that single cosmetic issue, the guitar is on the higher side of excellent throughout. The pictures do it justice. This has clearly been a case queen, as you can tell by how glossy and well preserved the finish is. It has that popping, like new appearance. It is structurally and sonically sound and plays beautifully.
Let's go over the core specs of it. These are as close as i can discern from recreating it on the Kiesel Builder. I may be off on a couple things but this is Very close. The neck shaft feels like the standard carve ( Not thicker or thinner countour).

This model compares very favorably to a Gibson Custom Shop Les Paul Axcess at less than 1/3 of the price. That being a premium USA Custom Shop made single cut with a tremolo system and a deeper cut of the neck heel that allows for better upper fret access. It is the Kiesel version of that guitar. It weighs exactly 9lbs 2oz which is the sweet spot for a non-chambered singlecut, and has truly a custom shop grade top and finish/color.
My players perspective of this one is as follows. You have a lot of maple here that makes for a very dynamic bright sounding instrument. Notably Eddie Van Halen liked his guitars this way, to have a maple neck and maple fretboard and maple top. Where this one differs slightly is the neck has 2 walnut stripes which have the same projection and pop that maple has but are a tad bit warmer.
So this one has a beautiful articulation and attack but it does not sound edgy or overly bright. Even with the paf style beryllium pickups. It still has a nice... I guess you would call it a sweetness to the tonality. And sounds equally good with clean tones or distortion.
Beyond that it has all of the Kiesel goodness that you could hope for. This is Kiesel's version of a Les Paul. That is the tonality you get here. Fat low end presence. The clarity and cut of maple with the uncompressed warmth of mahogany. I like this guitar equally for rhythm chug style riffing, and clear sharp articulate lead playing.
If you have seen some of my listings here over the years, you know i am very high on the Kiesel brand. As a guitar player myself this brand has been my personal favorite, and i feel they offer perhaps the best pure value in performance and quality at this price point. Every aspect of their guitar building is innovative and top notch. From the use of dual carbon rods to stabilize the necks. flawless SS fretwork, specially processed/treated wood that maximizes the harmonic content, gorgeous and durable finishes. and probably the industry best long set-neck joint on their set-neck models. They in my opinion fully deserve the acclaim and following that they have garnered in the last few years.
Note that this listing may come down at anytime as I am a multi-platform seller and do sell locally and on my own Site as well in an effort to keep sales fluid. State sales tax will be charged On Reverb sales when applicable, so factor that in to your purchase.
I will immaculately pack it as well. I use quality shipping boxes, ample tape on all sides. And sufficient bubble wrap filler and bracing inside the box. And always Marked/denoted as fragile. I generally detune guitars 1/2 half step prior to shipment as well if needed.
Thank you for reading and considering!
