Collins 356A-1
Up for sale is a collection of extremely well made Collins preamp modules from the 1960's:
2) 356A-1 - Microphone Preamplifiers - Essentially a copy of the excellent Langevin AM-5116 program amplifier with ADC instead of Langevin transformers. Both of these were spares from a console that has been sold.
The 356A-1 can be strapped for multiple different input impedance for microphones or line input. These are strapped for 600 ohms. The 356A1 has a gain of about 40-45db, it is one of the best sounding pre-amps you can get.
Included are very expensive and hard to find new production pin connectors. One has been soldered to in order to test the modules.
Also included are a set of tested and functional tubes for each module.
The full manual and schematics are available online.
Operational but being sold as is no returns. The module requires either a console to plug it into or a power supply and the technical knowledge to connect it up properly.
I reserve the right to cancel the listing at any time.
I have no way of knowing your technical skills or if they have been wired properly.
After it leaves my shop it is as is no returns. Thanks
