For Sale: Fender Telecaster Deluxe 1977 in very good condition. Please read the description below:

I Purchased the guitar used in 1992, the original owner had the body routed for a Kahler tremolo system. I had the guitar repaired and a ash block installed where the Kahler was mounted and removed the locking nut at the headstock (see headstock pictures). I also had the guitar re-fretted with medium frets as the old frets had many flat spots and buzzing on a few areas of the neck. The guitar shop also placed a thin wooden shim in the neck pocket to help stabilize the 3-bolt neck (this is common for this era).

The guitar played great, but the ash block was always a problem for me with the overall look of the guitar. I had the guitar refinished in white Nitrocellulose lacquer. The white lacquer was sprayed over the original lacquer finish to help the aesthetics of the guitar. The guitar has a few small dings/dents, but nothing major. The guitar does have Lacquer cracks from ageing and is totally normal for a guitar of this age. Overall, the guitar is in really good condition and sounds and plays wonderful. You can see what the guitar looked like on the very last picture (Before - After). Please note that the guitar looks pearl white in the pictures, but it has started to fade and have a slight "yellowing" of the finish. This is common with older guitars shot with Nitro lacquer.

The guitar weighs approx. 7.5 lbs and it feels very light to me, but I'm used to Gibson Les Paul guitars.

Most of the guitar is original except for the paint job, and the bridge. I did replace the bridge pick-up with a new fender replacement pick-up but still have the original bridge pick-up and will include that in the sale of the guitar along with a new black guitar strap. This is a “players guitar” and plays and sounds great. I would not consider it a collector's piece and don’t recommend it if that is your plan. Comes with the original black guitar case with metal Fender logo. The back side of the guitar case is missing the round metal foot. Please see attached pictures and ask any questions.
