I was trounced by the tone on this one when it belonged to Imogen Smith, blending country licks with modern soft rock in her solo project “Imogen Wagons: An Americana Tribute to Imagine Dragons.” She lost me a bit when she went on to do her next project, “Imogen: All the People”, where she’d try to play all the instruments on Beatles songs all at once, but for those early nights at the open mic, she brought the lightning and the thunder with this rock machine.
