Up for sale is a Bellari RP583 Studio Dual Tube Compressor/Limiter in Fair condition. I am not the original owner of this unit; I purchased it to integrate into my recording signal chain. However, once I realized it wasn’t providing the specific sound profile I was looking for, I pulled it from the signal chain. It has sat unused ever since, and its current condition is exactly as it was when I bought it.

Key Issues to Note:

• Bent Rack Ears: The faceplate rack ears are bent (as shown in the photos). It can still be mounted but they are not perfectly straight.
• Tubes Likely Need Replacement: The internal tubes are seemingly no longer active. While I cannot verify their exact technical status, the unit is currently not "warming" or coloring audio signals as expected.

The Upside:

Because this unit uses standard accessible tubes, replacing them gives you a great opportunity to customize your sound. Dropping in a fresh, high-quality matching pair of standard 12AX7 tubes (or your preferred compatible variation) will probably not only likely bring the unit back to full operational warmth but also allow you to "tube-roll" and tailor the compression character exactly to your studio's needs.
