Up for sale is my Fender 75th Anniversary American Professional II Jazzmaster in the highly sought-after Mercury finish. This is my favorite JM to play, but my strats are my mains and I need a high-end acoustic so my loss your gain.
This guitar is in excellent condition and has been exceptionally well cared for. Minimal signs of play with a few signs of play. The Mercury finish is one of the standout colors Fender offered on the 75th Anniversary series and has become increasingly difficult to find, especially in this condition. Comes with original tags and case candy. Frets are very very low play time as shown
The guitar plays beautifully with the modern refinements that make the American Professional II series so popular: V-Mod II Jazzmaster pickups, Panorama tremolo system, sculpted neck heel, and push-push tone control for expanded tonal options. It delivers everything from classic Jazzmaster chime and shimmer to thicker, more aggressive sounds.
V-Mod II Jazzmaster Pickups
One of the highlights of the American Professional II Jazzmaster is the set of V-Mod II Jazzmaster pickups. Unlike many modern Jazzmaster-style pickups that can sound overly bright or thin, the V-Mod II set delivers a balanced, articulate voice with excellent clarity and dynamic response.
These pickups retain the signature Jazzmaster character—wide, open, and chimey—while offering improved warmth, punch, and note definition. Clean tones are rich and detailed with plenty of sparkle, while overdriven sounds remain focused and expressive without becoming harsh.
The middle position produces the classic airy Jazzmaster blend that works beautifully for ambient textures, indie, alternative, worship, and classic clean tones. Combined with the American Professional II’s push-push tone control, the guitar is capable of a surprisingly broad range of sounds, from traditional Jazzmaster shimmer to thicker, more aggressive tones.
Whether you’re playing through a clean amp, stacking drives, or running into ambient effects, the V-Mod II pickups offer exceptional versatility while preserving the unmistakable Jazzmaster voice.
