German‑made Musima 3/4 double bass (Markneukirchen), Stradivarius‑pattern laminated model from the 1980s.
A classic Musima workshop bass: durable, loud, and known for their warm, punchy tone. I’ve owned this instrument for many years and it has genuinely served me well across a wide range of playing — from jazz gigs to orchestral work. It carried me through my Grade 8, countless rehearsals, and even professional orchestra performances, always proving reliable and easy to work with.
The bass has the original tuners, natural gloss finish, and the traditional Musima scroll and outline. It projects beautifully, sits well in a mix, and has the warm, rounded tone Musima basses are known for. It’s a dependable player’s instrument with plenty of life left in it.
Condition notes:
• Small stable crack on the back — cosmetic and has never affected playability
• Endpin is stiff and could use cleaning/lubrication
• Normal cosmetic wear consistent with age
• Structurally sound and gig‑ready
Included:
• Roth & Junius padded double bass case — excellent protection, good zips, comfortable straps (photos included)
A solid German workshop bass ideal for jazz, folk, acoustic gigs, or student/professional orchestral use. Priced fairly for condition and history.
