The Gibson Sparrow is a highly coveted and uncommon acoustic-electric guitar. Essentially a Gibson Dove but with East Indian rosewood back and sides rather than maple, it features a rare Adirondack red spruce top and beautiful herringbone binding. It was originally available exclusively through Musician's Friend and Gibson Montana. [1, 2, 3, 4]Designed as an upgraded variation of classic Gibson acoustics, it boasted an original street price of around $3,299 before being discontinued after a limited production run. Because it saw such short production numbers, used models are highly prized and rarely appear on the open market.
