Beautiful vintage Chickering & Sons upright piano, manufactured between 1940 and 1943, featuring an elegant Queen Anne-style cabinet with stunning figured walnut veneer and original carved details. Built during the final years of Chickering's historic American production prior to World War II, this piano showcases the exceptional craftsmanship and cabinet work for which the company became renowned. The cabinet features dramatic book-matched walnut veneer, graceful carved Queen Anne legs, and a rich satin-to-semi-gloss finish that beautifully highlights the natural wood grain.

The piano was professionally tuned within the last 30 days and includes all 88 keys, all three pedals, and the original matching upholstered bench.

Cosmetic Condition

The piano presents beautifully and remains in very good vintage condition. The finish retains a rich luster with only normal wear expected from an instrument of this age, including a few light surface scratches and finish blemishes shown in the photographs.

There is one small chip to a carved decorative accent on one front leg (pictured), along with minor finish wear near the bottom of the legs. The veneer is in excellent overall condition with no significant lifting or water damage visible, and the figured walnut grain remains exceptionally striking throughout.
