This is a very special tube, very unique construction with triple mica and reinforced large support. Built to reduce microphony.
The red Valvo label is intact as well as the date and factory code.
Super strong over full specs and perfectly balanced.
Perfect for most regarding stereo use.
Provided with its original Valvo box. ( the box is not in totally perfect shape, please see photos )
Auditioning tests revealed to be all excellent. Very best tests for sound, noise floor and microphony.
V1 grade, Tube mic grade, mastering grade.
One of the very best sounding tube from the ecc82 12au7 family.
Can really be compared in term of quality to the great Telefunken ecc802S but at a more affordable price.
Warm and extremely detailed very "fluid" sensation in the mids. And very balanced in term of frequency range.
An outstanding tube for vocal as well for any type of music from intimate to very dense and loud because of its very detailed sound, perfect balance wide frequency range and wide dynanic range.
Very sought after by audiophile and pro recording studio for their sound and feel.
Highly recommended also on mastering tube devices.
Top condition, look like new , sold as new or very few use.

The Jackson 648. It is definitely one of my favorite tube testers. While it does not employ a mutual conductance test circuit, it does use an advanced emission circuit that applies separate element voltages to each tube element, and separate load circuits are also used. “These voltages and loads have been carefully selected for each tube to meet most ideally the normal operating condition of the tube.” (Source: 1950 Jackson catalog.)
In my experience, the Jackson circuitry is very effective, and often will surprise you with accuracy that approaches Hickok’s coveted “mutual conductance” test method. ( Source tubesound web site.)
I do my best to test and describe the tubes the best I can. Note that test results may vary from one tester to an other so this must be taken as an indication, although my jackson is regularly tested for calibration. Photos are part of the description you get what you see. ,I do my best to test and describe the tubes the best I can.
