In great used condition. I do not have the original box. Will pack well for shipping.

I was using it on my church board until I got something different (ran out of space).

Works and sound great. May have a few nicks and/ or scratches as per normal usage (I didn't notice much). Looks great to me and works perfectly.

The Strymon Lex is a compact, studio-class rotary speaker effect pedal that faithfully recreates the sound of classic rotating speaker systems, including the low-frequency bass rotor, rotating treble horn, and tube-driven amplifier.  Developed using advanced SHARC DSP technology, the pedal captures the complex sonic interactions and physics of vintage rotary cabinets without the need for bulky hardware or microphone setups.

Key Features and Controls

The Lex provides extensive control over the rotary speaker mechanics and tonality through eight adjustable parameters. The primary front-panel knobs allow users to manipulate Fast Rotor Speed, Mic Distance, Preamp Drive, and Horn Level to shape the core sound.

  • Rotor Speeds: Users can adjust the rotational speed for both Fast and Slow modes, with independent acceleration times for the horn and drum rotors to mimic real-world mechanics.
  • Microphone Placement: The Mic Distance control varies the stereo micing of the horn and the single mic on the woofer, ranging from tight, aggressive close-micing to distant, ambient settings.
  • Cabinet Simulation: The Cab Direction knob changes the cabinet orientation relative to the microphones, offering a choice between sound traveling through wood slats (Front) or from the open side (Rear).
  • Bi-Amp Output: The pedal features a selectable Bi-Amp mode that splits the bass rotor signal to the Left output and the treble horn signal to the Right output, allowing for separate amplification.

Technical Specifications

The unit is built on a rugged, lightweight anodized aluminum chassis and utilizes high-performance 24-bit 96kHz A/D and D/A converters with a typical signal-to-noise ratio of 110dB. It supports True Bypass switching via an electromechanical relay and includes an expression pedal input for assignable control over any knob parameter. The pedal is powered by a standard 9V DC center-negative supply requiring a minimum of 250mA.
