Title: Wattson Classic Electronics "Classic Electro Fuzz" FY-6 SuperFuzz (Rare Early Script Version!)Condition: Great
Serial Number / Code: 0418RCDescription:
Up for sale is a rare, early-production Wattson Classic Electronics "Classic Electro Fuzz." If you are looking at the photos and notice it doesn't say "FY-6" on the chassis, that is because this is from Wattson's highly sought-after first production run. . Under the hood, it is the exact same component-for-component recreation of the legendary 1968 Shin-ei / Univox FY-6 Super Fuzz circuit. This pedal is 100% fully functional and sounds absolutely monstrous. Position 1 on the side toggle delivers that biting, high-energy, mid-heavy late-60s classic rock crunch (think Pete Townshend's Live at Leeds or wild Jimi Hendrix octave leads). Position 2 engages the massive, subterranean mid-scooped wall of sound. The internal battery compartment is completely clean with zero corrosion or historic battery leaks. It features Wattson's signature sliding battery drawer on the side for easy access and runs safely on a standard 9V DC center-negative power brick plug.Cosmetically, the pedal has some typical scratches along the steel edges from sitting in storage, which I have clearly highlighted in the photos. Some sellers might call this "Excellent" given the heavy-duty 16-gauge steel build, but I am listing it strictly as "Very Good" to ensure absolute transparency.Ships quickly and securely. Don't miss out on a rare piece of discontinued California boutique history!
