Selling my beautiful 16” Ming-Jiang Zhu MJ200 Tertis Viola, along with a JonPaul Fusion Pernambuco/Carbon Fiber bow, and a 16-1/2” dart-shaped wooden carrying case.  Also included is a Kun Super Shoulder Rest, partially-used Sherman’s Violin Rosin, two Cherub pickups for amplified playing, and two different types of rubber mutes: a round, Tourte-style mute, and a bridge-covering practice mute. The Pirastro-Tonica strings on the viola are a number of years old, and I would recommend changing them out.

The viola was made in the Guangzhou workshop of award-winning Chinese violinmaker Ming-Jiang Zhu in 2014.  It was purchased from Quist violins in Bellingham, Washington on January 8th 2016.  To my knowledge, I am the only private owner of the instrument.  It has been cared for in my possession for the full 10 years, and kept in dry, temperature-conditioned spaces.

If you purchase this viola and live within 750 miles of the 98225 zip code, I will personally drive the viola to you so as to guarantee its safe arrival in the condition displayed in the listing.  If you live beyond this radius, the viola will be packaged carefully to fit snugly inside of the case (no internal movement), and will be protected using Fiddlershop’s shipping methods (reinforcing the bridge with cardboard and wooden dowels, and placing the entire case in a large, tightly-secured box).  It will be sent via UPS, and insured for the maximum value possible.
