Up For Sale is a freshly modified: RNC 1173 Dual channel compressor that comes with our beloved circuit upgrade.

This unit is in good shape for its age with some wear but looks very good overall.

Already a good little compressor, the RNC 1773 is a dual channel work horse VCA compressor that over the years we have modified a lot with great results.

These are great on buss duties and many other sources and are very musical stock but post modifications, really sing.

On these little comps we change out the 2150 VCAs to low distortion, great bandwidth 2180A.

We then modify the input and output sections with Burr Brown opamps using our proprietary opamp adapters and Burr Brown amps. Low noise caps are installed in all audio coupling locations for lower noise. Value adjustments are made in a number of places. The power supply is then rebuilt and modified for lower noise and better current delivery.

The result is a fine compressor made excellent with more headroom, lower noise and better fidelity.
