Martin / 1973 D-45
The long-awaited re-production of this model began in 1968. By 1973, several years had passed since the re-production, and while the specifications had stabilized, it still retained a strong vintage feel.
German Spruce
German spruce was used from around 1968 to 1964.
The tone, which is not too bright but resonates richly, has a luxurious sound befitting Martin's top-of-the-line model. I feel this is a charm unique to the D-45 from this period.
—The Appearance of the Hexagon Inlay
Natural abalone shell shines with iridescent colors, and each piece has a unique appearance.
The abalone shell on this product has a large layered pattern and a smooth color contrast, giving it a distinctive look.
-Back Strip
The D-40 is known for its attractive colorful decoration on the center of the body back.
While this part is not visible to the listener, in addition to the abalone inlay that only the owner can appreciate, this back strip is also an elegant decoration.
This guitar is packed with appealing features, including an amber-colored top, rare wood used only from 1968 to 1974, and elegant decoration.
Once you play this guitar, you'll understand why so many folk guitarists choose the D-45.
