This is a very cool Fender Excelsior 13W all-tube amp, with some big upgrades:
- Speaker upgraded to Warehouse G15C
- Stock grill cloth (that vibrated noisily causing buzzing on low bass notes) replaced with quiet, acoustically transparent baffle material.
- Variable tone control mod - previous owner replaced the bright switch with a knob that can vary between a clean scooped tone and a more raw, Marshall-esque tone with more mids
- Brand new JJ tubes!
Surprising headroom at moderate volumes (it can be a clean machine if you want it to be), but it erupts like a damn volcano once you turn it up. Looks great, tremolo sounds awesome, and nothing's cooler than a 15" guitar amp.
