This is a brand new Roland foam sensor trigger cone for KD85, KD120, and KD140 drum pads. I ordered an extra one when repairing my bass drum pad just in case, but I do not need it. It is specifically designed for those three bass drum pads and is slightly different size than those on Roland PD series tom pads. It is a new and unused genuine Roland OEM part that was purchased from a Roland authorized service center.
If your drum pad doesn’t respond the way it used to, or lacks the sensitivity it once had, changing the trigger cone will give your pad new life! Simply remove the mesh head, peel off the old cone and any adhesive from the piezo, then carefully stick the new cone on top of the piezo and you’re done. It’s that easy!
