Mostly original. Body has been stripped, very thin nitro clear worn off in some spots. Front of headstock only refinished, repro decal added. Looks pretty good but there is some funky grey stuff by E/A tuner, look closely at pics. E string tuner crack was repaired in 87, so at this point the repair has held longer than….
Neck pickup rewound by Lindy Fralin. Changed volume pot. Missing one tuner screw and one tuner screw has been replaced. Had a larger brass neck plate installed when I purchased it, you can see the impression on the finish on the back. Original back on. Very little fret wear. aftermarket pickguard, appears to be celluloid.
The most full C profile I have played on a pre CBS j bass. To me it’s very p bass like.
This bass plays and sounds so good.
