Gretsch 6124 Single Anniversary Hollow Body Guitar 1961 - Shaded Golden Sunburst w/non orig hard case

Here we have a beautiful vintage Gretsch Single Anniversary 6124 Hollow Body Electric Guitar.  Made in Brooklyn NY, USA in 1961.  The 6124 is finished in a Shaded Golden Sunburst.  24.5" scale length, single HiLo'tron pickup in the neck, wooden based roller bridge and a chrome tailpiece.  Controls are a single master volume with a 3 way switch for tone control.  The 6124 has a Maple body and neck with a 21- fret Rosewood fingerboard.  It comes with a non original newer Gretsch branded TKL hard shell case.
This 6124 has just been setup with 10-46's and is playing great.  The neck is straight and the truss rod is working as it should with travel in both directions. The frets are in very good shape with some minor wear and small divots on the first handful of frets.  They have plenty of life left in them.  This guitar plays cleanly up and down the fingerboard with no issues.   The action is medium and is a just a slight bit higher on the treble side.  The bridge is down as far as it can go.  With it being a wooden bridge, you could choose to take it down even further to lower the action a bit.  
Cosmetically, this guitar is in very good condition for its age.  There nicks, marks, scuffs, shrinking, and checking throughout the finish. No cracks or breaks on the body.  There is a little bit of binding rot on the heel cap and along the neck heel.  The back of the neck has some finish separation behind the 1st and 2nd fret.   The tuners are all working nicely with the D and G tuner shafts a little bent. Looks to be the original nut. Pickguard is in great shape.  
All in all, this Gretsch 6124 is a blast to play.  It just does "that" thing.  When you plug it in, its instantly familiar and your hands just take over.  Add this one to your arsenal today.  Thanks for looking and happy buying!
