For sale is a vintage Boss CE-1 Chorus Ensemble, made in Japan by Roland. Serial number is 203787, dating this unit to approximately July 1982 based on the Boss 6-digit serial numbering format.

This is the legendary original Boss/Roland analog chorus and vibrato unit — the classic large-format CE-1 that helped define the vintage chorus sound. It delivers the warm, wide, lush analog chorus and rich vibrato these units are known for. Great for guitar, bass, keyboards, studio use, or anyone looking for the real CE-1 sound rather than a modern recreation.

This unit has the classic CE-1 layout with Chorus Intensity, Vibrato Depth, Vibrato Rate, Level Control, input sensitivity switch, mono/stereo outputs, and the original footswitch controls for effect bypass and chorus/vibrato selection.

Cosmetically, this pedal is in good vintage condition with normal wear for a 40+ year old unit. The enclosure shows surface wear, scuffs, age marks, and some oxidation/speckling on the control panel and metal footswitch caps.
