Pro.2 Mixer Vintage Boss KM-6A analog summing saturation box

Up for sale is a rare Pro.2 M-01 analog mixer – a unit highly sought after and loved by electronic music producers, hip-hop beatmakers, techno and modular synthesizer enthusiasts, and dub experimentalists. It features an electronic design, preamps, and equalizers very similar to the legendary BOSS KM-60, making it perfect for adding vintage warmth and gritty harmonic saturation to your setup.

TECHNICAL CONDITION

The mixer has been tested and is fully functional, with two specific characteristics noted below. It has just undergone a professional service inspection, which included replacing the power supply and audio output capacitors, as well as repairing cold solder joints.

• Channels: All channels are fully operational.
• Controls: All Treble, Bass, Panpot, and Volume potentiometers work smoothly and without crackles.
• VU Meters: Both meters are active, illuminate correctly, and respond well to the signal.
• Headphone Output: Fully functional.
• Output Balance Note: There is a volume discrepancy between the left and right master output channels when the pots are set to identical physical positions (approx. 9 dB difference). This can be easily compensated for by offsetting the master volume potentiometers to balance the stereo image perfectly.
• Noise Floor: The device emits a low-level hum/noise typical of vintage analog mixers from this era. I have uploaded a video demo to YouTube showing the actual signal-to-noise ratio (SNR). The video starts with the baseline noise floor, followed by audio playback.

VISUAL CONDITION

Very good aesthetic condition for its age.

• The unit is missing four decorative silver rings on the top of the potentiometer knobs (does not affect usage).
• The Treble potentiometer shaft on Channel 3 is slightly bent, but rotates perfectly fine.
