Fender Japan Telecaster Custom TC72-70 - Made in Japan (1993-1994) - Black

This TC72-70 delivers everything that makes the Telecaster Custom such a legendary design. The Wide Range-style neck humbucker provides a warm, full-bodied voice with rich mids and smooth highs, making it perfect for blues, classic rock, jazz, indie, or expressive lead playing. Switch to the traditional Tele bridge single-coil and you get all the snap, bite, and unmistakable twang that cuts effortlessly through any mix. The middle position blends both pickups beautifully, offering an incredibly balanced, versatile tone that covers far more ground than a standard Telecaster.

Whether you're playing clean, edge-of-breakup, or high-gain, this guitar responds exceptionally well to picking dynamics and feels equally at home on stage, in the studio, or as part of a collection.

Overall, the guitar is in very good condition for its age.

Cosmetically, it shows some honest signs of use, including a few small dings, scratches, and other minor imperfections consistent with normal playing over the years (please see photos). Nothing affects playability or structural integrity.

The pickguard has one extra screw hole from a previous owner. It appears to have been added at some point for reasons unknown and is purely cosmetic.

The frets remain in very good condition with even wear throughout. There are no deep grooves, dead spots, buzzing, or playability issues. The neck feels smooth, the action is comfortable, and the guitar plays effortlessly all the way up the fretboard.

Everything functions exactly as it should, including the electronics, truss rod, and hardware.
