This is an original circuit, designed by me. It has a topology similar to the Foxx tone bender, except I used two out-of phase opamps for the octave stage. I also added a toggle to modulate one of the phases, for a phaser effect.
This particular build uses an NTE 101 germanium transistor for the mixing gain stage. It also uses two D9B Germanium diodes in the phase split/octave stage.
Controls:
- Volume: Colume
- Freq: Phaser frequency.
- Gain P: The non-inverting modulated channel, so that also controls the phase depth.
- Gain N: The inverting channel. Turning this all the way up gets you into chunky, almost ringmod fuzz. I love it.
- Phaser: Turn phaser on, half-on, all the way on
- Tone: tone
