One listen to Javier Reyes's band Animals As Leaders, and a whole new world of what is possible with guitar playing immediately becomes apparent. Get Reyes's signature LTD JR-7 in your hands, and the exact same thing happens. The 7-string design is wonderfully complemented by a 27-inch scale length, striking a balance between low-note clarity and comfort of playing. Add extended voicings to your chordal vocabulary, grab full-sounding chords no matter where you are on the neck, and rattle the ground with huge sounding low-frequency riffing.

To pull off the highly technical style of playing Reyes is known for, he holds his guitar up fairly high on his chest. That presented a comfort issue with his picking arm. So ESP went one step further than just offering a carved top on the JR-7. The carve is designed to give the guitar an incredibly comfortable contour right where the strumming armrests on the guitar are without interrupting the top's elegant lines. With the LTD JR-7, you get an ergonomic, comfortable guitar with the high-class look of a carved top.
