1979 Yamaha G 225 Classical. Serial # 90303574 Made in Taiwan. Of all my classical guitars thur the decades Yamaha G series for me has been best all round value. Yamaha's quality control has some of the closest tolerances and quality materials in the industry and those qualitys never changed whether they were built in Japan or Taiwan. The wood on this one has aged well and the result is a warm clear well balanced tone. Plays with ease. 2" nut matched with 25.5" playscale. 18 Frets with 19th extension all smooth on the ends with only lite wear. New set of D'Addario Pro-Arte strings. Low action 3.5mm at the 12th fret and after 47 years has nearly all of it's adjustment left at the bridge saddle. That should give you a sign of the build quality. Guitar has plenty of little pick marks, indentations, scuffs, light scratches/ swirling in finish from decades of playing. See last 5 pictures. Guitar has no cracks or splitting wood. No seperations. Neck is secure in pocket. Bridge is level with no pull. Body has no bulging. No hidden repairs. Perfect for any beginner or player ready to try nylon string guitars out.
