✨ Electro-Harmonix Cathedral Stereo Reverb – second-hand, with original packaging ✨
For sale is an Electro-Harmonix Cathedral Stereo Reverb, a versatile reverb pedal with a distinctive character for anyone who isn’t just looking for reverb, but wants to conjure up spaces, halls, chapels, clouds of sound and entire cathedrals of sound. ⛪🎶
The pedal is second-hand, works perfectly and comes with its original packaging. A power supply is not included. There is Velcro on the back, ready for direct attachment to your pedalboard. 🎛️
The Cathedral is a digital stereo reverb pedal with True Stereo In/Out, 24-bit AD/DA conversion and eight storable reverb/echo modes. Each mode can be fine-tuned and saved as a preset, so you can recall your favourite soundscapes at any time. From subtle spatial depth to endless ambient swathes, this pedal opens up a world of possibilities. 🌌
Features:
⛪ 8 reverb and echo modes
Grail Spring, Accu Spring, Hall, Room, Plate, Reverse, Grail Flerb and Echo. The Cathedral thus covers classic spring reverb sounds, natural rooms, large halls, studio plate reverbs, shimmering reverse shoegaze textures, modulated Flerb sounds and even delay-style echo applications.
🎚️ Extensive sound control
With Blend, Reverb Time, Damping/Tone, Feedback and Pre-Delay, the reverb can be fine-tuned with great precision. Whether it’s a short, warm room reverb, a long plate tail, a dark ambient wall or a crystalline cathedral reverberation: the pedal responds musically and offers plenty of creative scope.
🌀 Tap Tempo for Pre-Delay
The pre-delay can be set via tap tempo. This allows the interval between the dry signal and the reverb tail to be rhythmically adapted to the song – particularly exciting for atmospheric sections, post-rock build-ups or ethereal lead lines.
♾️ Infinite Reverb
Holding down the tap footswitch creates an endless reverb. Perfect for drones, transitions, ambient pads, soundscapes or moments when you want a chord to linger like incense in a vaulted ceiling.
💾 Saveable presets
One preset can be saved per mode. This makes the Cathedral not only a tool for experimentation, but also very practical for live use.
🔊 True Stereo In/Out
Ideal for stereo set-ups, synths, guitar boards, studio applications or expansive ambient soundscapes. Anyone working with two amps, stereo delays or recording set-ups will find this a powerful tool.
Possible applications:
🎸 Guitar & Bass
From subtle ‘always-on’ reverb and surf-spring sounds right through to epic post-rock and shoegaze pads. Reverse mode is ideal for dreamy, shimmering textures played backwards, whilst Reverb and Plate modes make lead sounds sound big and luxurious.
🎹 Synthesiser & Keys
The Cathedral transforms dry synth lines into expansive, cinematic soundscapes. Particularly exciting for pads, arpeggios, drones and experimental electronic music.
🎙️ Studio & Reamping
Thanks to its stereo I/O and versatile modes, the pedal can also be used creatively in the studio: for guitars, vocals, drum machines, field recordings or any signal that could do with more depth, space or drama.
🌫️ Ambient, Shoegaze, Post-Rock, Experimental
This is where the Cathedral really comes into its own. Long decays, infinite reverb, reverse, flerb and echo transform individual notes into floating soundscapes.
A pedal for anyone who wants to place their sound not just in a room, but in a vault of light, shadow and reverberation. ⛪✨
