Detrick FX "The Experience Wah 1967" – built 2021 in the USA – Clyde McCoy-style circuit in a USA Vox V847 shell

Boutique wah built by Detrick FX as a recreation of the late-1960s Vox Clyde McCoy / early Vox wah voice. The circuit is housed in a USA-made Vox V847 enclosure. Ships with a Vox padded bag.

• Front label on the base: "The Experience Wah 1967 – Detrick FX"
• Inside of the bottom plate is hand-signed "Detrick_FX 8-25-2021" with the builder's initials, so the build date is August 2021
• Bottom plate printed "VOX Wah-Wah Model V847 – Made in U.S.A.", part no. CH11035 REV.2 – i.e. the enclosure is an original USA-made Vox V847
• Serial sticker on the bottom plate: VOX05Q346

INSIDE (see photos)

• Detrick hand-built circuit board (brown board with point-to-point style layout) replacing the stock V847 board
• Open-wound halo-style inductor, hand-wound by Detrick FX (per seller)
• Two metal-can (TO-18) transistors; seller states gain-matched BC109B
• Yellow/red striped "tropical fish" style film capacitors, carbon film resistors
• Potentiometer: seller states NOS Clarostat Hot Potz-1 100k
• True bypass switching (per seller)
• Standard input/output jacks; 9V battery power (no DC jack visible in the photos)

CONDITION

• Excellent used condition; fully working
• Chrome treadle and rubber top in very good shape
• Light scratches on the bottom plate, especially through the VOX logo (see photo)
• Bag shows creasing and wear on the white piping
