Brush was founded in 1919 to develop products that utilized crystals, and by 1930 were the main suppliers of crystal elements to be used in phonograph pickups. Later it began manufacturing wire recorders, microphones and speakers, and released the first USA built tape recorder in 1947!This pillow speaker was one of their many offerings, an item that you could plug into a radio and listen privately under your speaker.
I have no clue if it works. I tried taking the connectors, touching them to a guitar cable, and yelling into it, and I didn't hear anything. Who knows. I have never seen those connectors before or know if they are wired up properly.
Might make a cool project, art-deco, etc etc, but once it hits the mailbox it is yours. NO RETURNS OR REFUNDS, CONSIDER IT BROKEN AND IF IT WORKS THAT IS A COOL PLUS
