Condition & Provenance
In Very Good condition, this '51 Nocaster Relic shows light signs of use and is supplied with the Original Custom Shop Tweed Case, Certificate of Authenticity and accessories shown. While remaining mostly original, a pair of Schaller strap lock buttons have been installed.
Prior to listing, the Nocaster has undergone a full set-up, including a fret dress and all parts have been stripped down to not only provide good working order, but also authenticity.
While your typical Nocaster comes with a baseball bat neck, the profile of this example was custom-ordered to be slim 60-Style Oval C. When paired with a 9.5" Radius fretboard and Medium Jumbo Frets, you get a smooth and fast feeling action.
The original frets have plenty of life left in them, averaging a height of .042" and the slim neck profile measures .0801" at the first fret and .950" at the 12th.
