The K-SPEC Western Electric WE111C Stereo Transformer Processor is a handcrafted, completely passive studio processor built around a carefully selected pair of vintage Western Electric WE111C transformers.

Unlike many transformer boxes that simply house a pair of WE111Cs, this processor provides extensive control over transformer behavior through selectable 600:600 or 150:600 impedance, three-position loading (Open / 620Ω / 150Ω), true hard-wire bypass, and a three-position Ground / Soft Lift / Full Lift system with individual Zobel stabilization networks.

Few passive WE111C processors offer this level of control, allowing you to explore a much broader range of transformer behavior than a fixed-configuration design.

This is no random pair of WE111C transformers. K-SPEC processors are built around carefully selected transformer pairs. The transformers installed in this processor measure approximately 99.56% matched (<0.44% difference) based on documented winding resistance measurements. Unlike many listings that simply state “matched,” this processor includes the measurements to support that claim.

Construction emphasizes low-noise wiring practices, premium Canare internal wiring, point-to-point construction, 90° transformer orientation to minimize magnetic coupling, and long-term serviceability. A printed wiring diagram is included for documentation and future service.
