Here is a gorgeous vintage Rickenbacker bass guitar crafted in America in 1973. It has the outstanding tone and playability that you would expect from a 70’s Rickenbacker, and as a result has been loved and played for years. This was an active duty bass in a Latin band according to the original owner. 

The playability is exactly what you want- perfect neck straightness/relief, great action, no bad buzz, and in tune up and down the neck. Setup with super low action (2.6mm bass side). See pictures for fret life. The electronics work seamlessly with no bad noise, and the Grover tuners are quality and extremely stable. 

Cosmetically, the pictures will tell you the story here. It has an unbelievable mojo and really just looks badass. The string muting system on the bridge needs to be tuned up if you want to use it (although I never see anyone ever use it haha)- the muter foam doesn’t touch the strings on the bass side. This bass comes with the original hardshell case, and has been kept in smoke free and odor free home. 

The used sold listings of these in this year go up to $4000 all day (for mint examples). For played-in examples, they range from $2,800-$3,500 all day. Anything below that seems to have cracks or something seriously wrong with it. I believe this is a fair price for a killer piece of music history that will give you great tone for years to come.
