As its name would suggest, this bass thunders with the best, producing incredible low end punch and grind. The pickups deliver the kind of push and compression that brings out the growl in the mahogany and walnut construction, and a thick slab ebony fretboard adds top end detail and note attack. The gloss nitro lacquer Natural Burst finish is quite subtle and exhibits a few areas of isolated checking. Cosmetic wear includes light buckle scuffing on the back at the lower bout, and a few tiny dings on the body as a whole, most prominent along the lower bout perimeter. The gloss on the neck profile is clean and smooth with just a few minor marks on the profile length.

The original Gibson USA hardshell case is included; the central locking latch is not functional.
