Here's a Cameron Jose HG/LG modded SLP 100. These don't come up too often

Here's also a note from the first owner about this amp. He describes it better than I can:

" Before Mark did his magic, this amp was one of those great Marshalls. Not all of them are.
I have personally owned 11 Mark Cameron amps and this one is my favorite, even over the CCV

This is the cleanest of Marks work I have seen.
Everything is carefully installed through the board. Many mods will have components cut off from above the board and secured to those legs. Not this one.

Mark and Company were attempting to relaunch Cameron amps. In an effort to raise funds, Mark was doing lots of mods at this time. His partner saw that he was taking far too much time in tweaking each amp. The plan was to make his mods standard and eliminate all of the tweaking so he had Mark do this Plexi. He would then install his mods in future amps exactly as this one was done without taking all of the time tweaking the individual amps. So in essence this was a prototype that he did with his best work.
This venture did not come to fruition. I was able to purchase this amp through a friend of mine who purchased a few amps through Mark's partner at the time. I do know Mark and used to talk with him extensively.

This Jose is the best one of many I have owned. It does not have all kinds of push/pulls, and switches, which is part of what makes it so great. I have owned several Joses that did have many switching options for reference.
The tone is very much on the Plexi side of things. In the low input it is closer to stock Plexi with the ability to get higher gain with the diode clipping switch on the rear. In the high input, the amp can go from lower gain to high gain without the clipping switch. In guitar talk,it gets there with no clipping. There is no ghost noting at high volume. It is also a very quiet amp. Much more so than the others I have owned. Playing this amp with the gains dimed is fantastic as all of the gain is useable and does not cause squealing or excessive noise. The amp has huge punch and tight lows. There are two gain controls on the front and on the rear is a depth control which works in reverse. These reverse depth control pots were what Mark used on some amps. Essentially a power section bass boost but the pot is a reverse taper.
The amplifier has all newer ARS filter capacitors and sprague bias capacitors.

The amp does have some black goop but it is very cleanly done. I have not had a single issue with this amp.
The amp will ship with the early pre Winged C tubes which is what Mark voiced the amp with. These are better in my opinion than the later Winged C."
