This Listing is for an original Moog Music Etherwave Plus Theremin with all the bells and whistles, making for a ready-to-play professional Theremin setup. This unit is fully working and was soldered and assembled from a kit. It includes the original Moog manual, red tuning tool, box and all the contents thereof like the Clara Rockmore DVD. The wooden body was hand-stained to give a natural one-of-a-kind finish with the unique woodgrain still-visible. Also includes a mic stand and some patch cables/adapters which enable this to be used as a CV controller in conjunction with modular synthesizers(this is what differentiates the "Plus" edition from the standard edition Etherwave) as well as a JHS A/B pedal to function as a mute pedal or switcher.

Additionally this listing includes the ESPE01 Bass Module which is UNINSTALLED. I ordered this from the Netherlands and had planned to install but never got around to it. This module would add two octaves of range in the bass register and improve the linearity of the pitch field. This is the icing on the cake for these older Etherwave models and is used by many professional Theremin players. Again, the bass module is uninstalled and needs someone with experience in electronics to solder onto the board. I will give the buyer links to read more about it because Reverb wont let me include links in the listing. This is something that would be installed at your own risk with instructions found online, though the Theremin is currently assembled and working as it should in the Moog factory configuration.

I am the original owner and I had initially purchased this Theremin as a kit from Humbucker Music in 2019. It was a gift for someone I've lost contact with. We assembled it together. It has lived in a smoke-free home studio and has never been taken anywhere else.

I suggest that if you buy this you have at least some familiarity with electronics and soldering.

Idiosyncrasies:

-The pitch antenna is angled inwards slightly and the base should be removed from the body and reattached by you or a woodworker just to get it properly straight. This doesn't affect the function of the Theremin but I believe may require some disassembly desoldering/soldering if you want it to be perfectly straight. Instructions are all included in the original owners manual but they were not the most intuitive from what I recall. The antenna is not bent at all, there is no defect, it’s just that the angle of where the right-angle antenna adapter has been screwed into the body is not perfectly straight.

-One of the three screws connecting the microphone stand adapter onto the bottom of the theremin was not included in the original box and needs to be purchased separately in order to stop any instability/wobbling on the mic stand. This is irrelevant if you plan on using this instrument on a table. The correct screw is a 8-32 x 3/4" machine screw. Moog's inMusic customer support gave me a link for the correct screw which I can direct you to but I take what inMusic says with a grain of salt.
