A 2018 Xotic California Classic in two-tone burst, bought new direct from Xotic. Smoke-free, pet-free home. The headline here is the neck.

The neck: Just came back from Xotic with a brand-new roasted 5A flame maple neck — installed by Xotic themselves, not a third party. Nitro lacquer finish with light artificial wear, so it plays broken-in and fast right out of the case. The flame figure is ridiculous in person (see photo). A current premium spec done at the factory, not something you can order onto an older guitar after the fact.

The trem: Fitted with a Vega-Trem set up at the Xotic factory — rock-solid tuning stability with a wide, smooth pitch range. Dives, flutters, and shimmer that return to pitch every time. Set up for expressive, Jeff Beck–style vibrato work.

Pickups / tone: SSH layout — a pair of beautiful '60s-style single coils in the neck and middle, and a PAF-style humbucker in the bridge. Glassy, vocal cleans into a fat, articulate bridge tone.

Condition: Excellent. Light factory-style aging/relic wear, nothing distracting, all shown in the photos. No damage, plays and sounds fantastic.
